The article DID go on to say that you should keep track of everything that is said/done and if a violation of rights occurs, go into a lawyer and deal with it that route. If a judge determines that a violation did occur, then the offending officer will be formally reprimanded. Similar to a front line in a warzone, you have a job to do and not time to quibble over every law that comes up. The time for recriminations comes later. The system >IS< supposed to weed out particularly bad officers who continually violate rights and freedoms. Remember your right and exercise them, but arguing with an officer in the line of duty is just going to piss them off and they will treat you more harshly.
