Stop giving a damn about dupes!

Can't people just accept that these things exist and get on with their lives? When you're playing the game, you're wearing the hats not checking tf2items.com and prosecuting people for wearing these freaking things.

A burning tossle is still a burning tossle at the end of the day and a damn fine hat too. Who really cares?

If a hat was duped via support then why would it be less? It wasn't the owner's fault that they got hijacked (well, MOST of the time), so should their backpack now be frowned upon and deemed less valuable because of something they couldn't prevent? Of course fucking not.

So why the heck are people squealing "NO DUPES"? If you're one of those people why the heck are you doing that?

I learned my lesson about buying duped hats. I now only buy clean only because they are easier to sell (not that I want to anyway.) and clean hats are more respected.

dupes are fine, but i do value them a bit less than non-dupes, but i wouldnt have a problem buying any, it doesnt encourage highjacking, thats a false perception

I think this post is the single most intelligent thing I've ever seen you write here.

Buying from hijackers at ludicrous prices is indeed a problem because they're essentially giving criminals free cash. But some traders think nothing in the world matters more than cash, so they buy it anyway.

I'm talking about when they're in the hands of regular, normal everyday traders once they've been circulated into the economy.

I guess it's something that bothers people like gifted text.

Through my experience so far, dupes mean jack shit in regards to value. I miss out on a couple trades because an item is duped, but 9 out of 10 times nobody seems to care. Again the only people that even bring up if an unusual is a dupe or not are people trying to drive the price down in my opinion.
