Assume from now on all traders are after profit and them saying noty means your offer isn't enough. :P

or that you're offering a hat that's harder to trade for a hat that's easier to trade.

    It happened to me once.

Once i planned to buy a Strange Rocket Launcher,
Add this person on Steam (as he post that he will sell for 3 keys) and had a little conversation.

Me: Hey, is your rocket launcer still available?
Him: Yes it is still available
Me: How much - 3 keys?
    Him: Yes

After which, invited him for a trade and placed my keys and his Strange rocket launcher and ready for a trade.

    Out of a sudden,
Him: I need sweets for that..
    Me: Huh?
    Him: Additional 1 key
Me: Sorry, overprice. Its just a Strange Rocket Launcher and not an Unusual Hat!
Him: 2 hats or 2 ref?
    Me: Forget about it..

I was quite annoyed with him and cancel the trade.

Eventually, found another user with S. RL and trade for 3 keys and closed...

This most of the time, I couldn''t count the amount of idiots in trading or cheeky fuckers who think you are stupid, on the hands of all the children in africa...... Although saying that, Some offers I will say no thank you to and if they come back with an improved offer, I will listen to it and negotiate. As a general rule I try to be nice with everyone unless its a known trader who tries to lowball - who will then be treated like the spastic they are.
In terms of putting high prices on hats, for instance on my Stash (burning) I value that hat above practically everything I see so I am entitled to put a high B/o, all I would be asking is that people consider carefully how much the thing is worth in terms of nostalgic value for the owner - paired with actual market price, and again "think carefully when offering". Most high buyouts are acceptable on High Tier unusuals, it bugs me more when people do it for shit or mediocre tier ones and expect people to overpay. Hell any mid tier hat I have sold has been sold for the most part way under the value (I usually do special buyouts in keys or whatever).

I'm honestly really surprised people don't implement negotiation tactics on Outpost or TP. Also on the topic of lowballers, I'm fine and up with negotiations and will often reply to a lowballer with a little overpriced payment and we negotiate from there. It's how I sold my Hotrod/Brigade/Dead Cone.

What is so moronic about asking people to take time to reply to an offer? I have seen people refuse a ton of great offers without commenting on them.

Sometimes I make an offer that I feel is fair in my own mind yet the recieving end doesn't, and they just throw an insult along the lines of "lowball faggot".

The people who go batshit insane about an offer that they deem low is hillarious, how hard is it to hit the reject button and move on with your life? You just have to go and throw insults at people too?

In most cases, that's true, but there are some people who are either so obviously lowballing with the intent of trying to rip you off, or are just trolls. In those situations I have no issue with letting loose on them.
