I just wanted to comment that while I think you guys have your heart in the right place (and I really respect that), I would really implore you to be about five times more thorough about your evidence and reasons for calling out other people as evil.

You're entitled to your own opinions, but trying to slam on people's reputations based on rumors or confused data (and then attacking people who try to give you advice when you're going too far) is probably not the way to go here. People are going to respect your judgments when they are backed by firm evidence-- otherwise they will be dismissed by the very people you're trying to help protect.

I like that people are held accountable by communities for shady/dark actions-- but it is a slippery slope when you do it based on gut and dislike and not on solid evidence.

Some of those same people you criticize ban people from their communities for weak reasons and talk bad about other traders in their community without good proof. You don't want to stoop to that level, or leave doubt in people's minds that you don't give people a fair shake. Since you're definitely on the side of cleaning up the community, I encourage you to do it while erring on the side of careful consideration.

joey has tried contacting but we understand you dont have much time to spend on your pc (real life > hats). we have been looking deep into things regarding blackened and the other people on that list. we have been wanting to be able to talk to you about the things weve found, things we know and things we keep finding before we start posting them, as i value your opinon on this matter more so than the majority of the people who oppose the blacklist or being on it.

like arand has posted, i created the list to protect my community and the people that use the site, as it is one of the core principles the site and the price guard is built from.

all of the names posted are names joey and i raised questions about in all of the threads i posted in the evidence locker, so quite frankly i do not feel my accusations are as outlandish as everyone seems to make them out to be.

my reaction to this entire situation involving blackened and the ensuing shit storm is to protect my community more than anything else.


and after listening to the concerns of my staff, we have decided to privatize the list while we investigate the people listed and will post updates as our team can provide formal documentation on the evidence i am talking about.
