I feel that it speaks for itself.

you know i work for apple...
This is an age-old topic, but I believe that Apple products are maybe a little pricey, but the quality and innovation they put into their new mobile devices is unparalleled. The original iPods were of very high quality IMO; I still use a 30GB 5th gen. The iPhone and the Touch are absolutely amazing. How long has the iPhone been out, and what can you say out there is honestly as well-designed and handy for real-life situations as it is? Unfortunately, I'm not on AT&T's network (get a big discount for working for a telco); I'm waiting on an Android-based phone for my network.
like i said, i work for apple (but i say NOTHING on these boards as a representative of apple), but i still use a G-1. Apple products are too "locked down" for my personal use. but they are great products for the average/upper consumer.
yes, they are expensive. but you get what you pay for, and apple certainly stands behind its products. you wont find onshore technical support of the quality they have from ANY other company
no reasonable person could have relied on Apple's statements?
sounds like they certainly stand behind their customers, why wouldn't they stand behind their products?
I have never found an apple product that would be useful to me (not that I would consider using) that I couldn't find cheaper and better from a different company...
computers: build a PC for 1/10th of a price, with identical specs and better gaming performance
iPods: creative Zen/zunes can easily replace every feature and better
iPhone: oh god, a hard-to-use phone (touch-screens are horrible, I can use my 4-year-old go-phone with god speed without even looking at it) AND an iPod, AND half of a shitty laptop without wifi? who could resist?
(this is all taking into effect that touch-screens are for people with down syndrome, excluding high-precision digitizer displays)
I'm not saying that their products are bad, or that I have anything against apple itself (other than tricking their customers and straight-out lying to them, and then making fun of them in court for believing them), but they just get WAY too much hype for how average they are, allowing them to up-charge them like nothing else.

The Simpsons did a recent spoof on Apple(called 'Mapple'). Perhaps Matt Groening was onto something exposing the shortcomings of Apple products....
Or maybe there are so many episodes of the Simpsons that it was statistically impossible for something on there not to happen. >.<

I had an I-phone for about two weeks, realized that over half of it's addons are useless unless all of your friends, relatives and strangers have one also. Needless to say, I got my money back. Sorry apple. I'm really wanting to get one of these:

Open source phone. Nothing could be better.
The Openmoko stack, which includes a full X server, allows users and developers to transform mobile hardware platforms into unique products. Our license gives developers and users freedom to cosmetically customize their device or radically remix it; change the wallpaper or rebuild the entire house! It grants them the freedom, for example, to transform a phone into a medical device or point of sale device or the freedom to simply install their own favorite software. Beyond freeing the software on our devices we have also released our CAD files. And at LinuxWorld 2008, we announced the release of the schematics for our products.
The G-1 is way better then any iPhone could hope to be, and is open source (running on google's android)
I can't believe that people are crying about what apple said. when was the last time anyone held another company up to those standards? yeah im really sure those flex fuel cars get 100mpg.
I'm sorry, I have never had a company call me an idiot for believing in reasonable claims.
