Spy is back off because all servers started crashing when it was on. Coincidence? Maybe.

could be that sourceop mod causes crashes because i been on many other pubs and they have spies working fine... This is quite big issue as TF2 without spies is not complete.
EDIT: Drunken, supposedly this is bug with older version of sourcemod, and according to this thread:

This bug was fixed with latest sourcemod update, did you update your servers?

Every server is getting it. Some maps seem to make it happen more often. It's triggered by a player connecting. What else needs to happen is yet uncertain. I'm in direct contact with valve about it.

Hmm, well I was playing on one of those =SoB= pubs for about an hour and I know our team had about 3 spies and it did not crash for that hour, although we only played egypt. But if you are in contact with valve this is great news as it means valve knows about it and we should see some fix for it.

Btw, I have confirmed, this server:
=SoB=Bedlam Asylum [Valve Maps|No Mods|Rotation] Server IP 207.210.239.60:27016
It runs sourcemod and its been up past few hours and no crashes, it has usually 2-3 spies per team and its a 32 man server. I talked to sob guys and they said they had no crashes. Now I forgot if they are running it on windows or linux maybe that has something to do with it. Either way I think you should maybe contact them to see if they did anything special that their server has no issues with latest updates. Just a thought.

Yes I know a lot of servers getting them but does it have anything to do with whether server is on windows or linux, running sourcemod etc? Just wondering

Never realized how much no spy affects the game.
Snipers running rampant, sentry guns and engineers going crazy too.
