ice blowing on your PC is retarded, the ice will sublimate and condense inside of your machine and destroy it.
just follow the regular steps, overclocking is a process that is made to take days. Clock it up 3-8mHz, play for 2-4 hours (in windowed mode with a GPU temp monitor), repeat until you reach a stable speed, when you reach a good speed at a stable temperature play it full screen on full res for a couple of hours, if it fucks up clock it back, if not keep it.
sorry for the same advice you could get anywhere else, but its the only way to do it.
I have my 8600 512 DDR2 running the same FPS as most stock 8800's because of overclocking and fine-tuning.
