Ah Team Fortress... Back in 1998 I became hooked on the original and was a sniper-happy member of Clan Erinyes. These days the wife (CupCake) and I team up and join the fun on the great SourceOp servers. You'll normally find us playing the Heavy (or other offensive class) / Medic combo and we often switch roles or play other complimenting classes (Engineer / Pyro) to mix things up.

Initially we played only on the 2Fort Instant Respawn Server. Yeah, call us crazy but we never got sick of teh best TF map ever! (grins) Alot of our friends were playing on the Valve Maps server so we headed there and haven't looked back; we still miss instant respawn but I've gotten used to catching up on emails/surfing during respawn delays now.

Things that make me sad: How slow the heavy walks. This becomes painfully obvious on CP maps especially when you finally reach your destination only to be back-stabbed by some spy bastard! Much hate also goes out to snipers who go for the easy fatty-kill !

Some of our most recent fond memories here include:

DustBowl Domination - We were playing on the Valve Maps server after a round on BadLands where we had a ton of people doing Medic/Medic combos. DustBowl began and everybody went back to playing "normally" but for whatever reason our team was heavily stacked. We pushed the offensive team back to their respawn where they had built up at least 5 SGs (which of course didn't last long.) If you look closely at the screenshot you can see that we built a level 3 SG right outside their respawn and were happily camping away. It was a weird thing and everybody else playing commented on how they had never seen something like that happen before on the server.

Well Craziness - We were playing on ctf_well (I can hear everybody, including myself, groaning). DF decided to spice things up by spawning a vehicle on which he mounted an SG and promptly drove it on over to pay the other team a visit -- funny stuff (glad we were on the red team!)
