but suppose somebody with lots of profile rep went rogue. had he had a SOP rep thread, then the account would have been banned and the rep thread could have been cleaned. instead, if the user privates his profile, then the positive rep can't be removed.
in addition, private profiles can comment on anyone's profile the same. how can you tell how old those accounts are? make screenshots private, mess with the name now and then, and a 2 wk old acc is just as good as a 2 year old acc.
a successful scammer has patience - it's doable EITHER way.

Datastorm took a shot at me and in reality its the SOP reps that have a no validity or means to check the reps of those making the posts.. i would say SOP reps are worthless ... but im not an idiot.

and its still fucking funny im being told my rep is worth 0 in light of trusted members here who have recently been caught pulling shady shit... .. i would think someone would be smart enough not to trade high dollar items with someone who has a private bp... 9 times out of 10 its hiding something..

Either way it can all be faked.. easily.. 100xs more easily than it can on a profile.. there is nothing linking the reps people post in SOP to anyone in steam.. take a lesson from some of the other trader sites that list profiles and backpacks with the people who post... otherwise the reps here have no validity
