only give instructions when there are only a few players and a lot of time... once more its just a wast of time... just point the threats on the mic. Let them learn for themselves.
The problem is, they are too dumb to learn for themselves. I have watched some players spend 10 minutes trying to set up sentry after sentry after sentry on the enemy battlements while it keeps being destroyed over and over and over. I have seen snipers who have crouched in the same location over and over only to be killed each and every time because they were not moving and then cry that you are a hacker because the idiots cant learn from their mistakes. You cant expect average IQ responses by your average non guided player on the server.
What you seriously dont take into consideration is that its hard to JUST start playing a game that has been out for nearly 3 years. Thew new person is not going to get good overnight and with the complexity of tf2 I couldn't imagine being new to this game i'd be confused as hell.
EX: Say you buy cod modern warfare 1 on steam for the first time and have never played a cod game in your life, you honestly expect your going to match up against some of those players that probably play the game everyday of there life since it was released? Yea good luck with that EE
I dont expect a good person to get good overnight, I am in the middle of teaching a friend how to play right now, he just started on Friday of last week. The difference is listening to someone when they say something. The game is only complex to those who have no FPS experince.
There was a guy who had just started playing recently who was on yesterday, Mangor or something like that. Engineer. He was putting his sentry in craptacular locations. He listen to me and put his sentry in an area I suggested and guess what happened, he went from being pissed to having fun, kicking ass, taking names and he helped up not win but at least not take any more losses. The difference between 2 players, Mangor and I taking up the correct locations for sentries and defending made ALL the difference. I dont care if we had 5 engineers, if they are not doing their jobs, you fucking lose over and over and over and no where in any game is that enjoyable.
First off, I would not buy MW2 because I hate Insanity Ward, they fucked up the CoD Franchise. I cant comment on MW2 though because I have not played it but more than 10 minutes on the free steam weekend and the game was pretty fucking stupid. I uninstalled it pretty quick, horrible interface for finding maps to play on and finally getting into the game and playing, didnt care for the numbers flashing up on the screen and the stupidity of the arcadish action. Not my type of game.
