You sacrifice green-screen editing and loop-playback but you get things to help un-fuck a poorly made video (refocusing tool is a must for ammature video makers) and some pretty cool lighting adjustments.
It is nothing worth switching to a new program over, but if you are starting a new one, you might as well start with PowerDirector.
Remember (although Power Director is easier than Movie Maker) that video editing software is, by nature, complicated with many functions and features. Be prepared to spend a few hours tweaking and experimenting.
