You know what I'm thinking, in that video demonstration it appears as if the arrows are coming from a point farther to the right of the reticle much like how the rocket launcher works and is able to shoot past walls you are aimed at. I believe that they may have set it to work in a similar way and then flipped the weapon model without changing the origin point of the arrows. (the video would then have to demonstrate headshotting someone while their reticle is aimed to the right of the victim to evidence that I am wrong)
