And it would be nice to have been given at least a message knowing why, as I've been kicked before for what I think are stupid reasons and it's really annoying after waiting 10 minutes to join and climbing to the top of the scoreboard.

Again, not my problem. I am sorry that you were annoyed by it but you'll live. Don't get into arguments like that on the server and you won't be kicked in the future.

To be honest, nobody deserves respect for being an admin.

So we should just treat DF like shit? It's not like the man has to pay for the servers we play on. As for the rest of the admins, we don't ask for it. I would assume it would be nice to give it since anytime you would have a problem we're there to fix it for free and without a thank you most of the time.

Having an authority over anyone or anything does not mean you are a superior human and it does not mean you can shove anyone around because you feel "personally offended".

No one said they were superior. If you're referring to the above case where I kicked them for talking it had nothing to do with personal feelings.

Insulting you, personally, is not a server rule.

Personal insults are not illegal. People are insulting all the time on the servers, just because it is against an admin does not make it a special situation and it shouldn't. The server rules state no racism and sexism, and that is about it, but as far as I see anyone is free to criticize or be a jerk to anyone provided it is related to in-game issues, and not personal issues.

Where does it state this? Also, being an admin on SourceOP is more of a judgment call than anything else. The reason there's not any set in stone rules, is because people are expected to act accordingly. We're all a bunch of adults here and should treat one another with common respect.

In game fights and bickering will happen no matter what. If it gets so bad that it starts to disrupt the server, you may end up gagged or banned. Our job is to keep the server running smoothly and if you're hindering that from happening you will be dealt with.
