Not healing spies and snipers just because they're spies and snipers is kind of silly. You don't like that there are too many newbs playing "classes that aren't useful" so you're trying some kind of negative reinforcement by not healing them. Duplex is a huge douche but at least he's consistent in his douchiness. Do you plan on not healing bottom-of-the-scoreboard soldiers and demos when their update comes out? I highly doubt it.
"But soldiers and demos are front line classes." Even crappy spies and snipers can do an equal amount of damage. Likewise, letting spies and snipers die is a two way street and arguably medics get the ass end of it. They can still shoot at people attacking you (or not shoot) and if there's a medic that refuses to heal me, personally, I'd be more than happy to dance around him with a jar of piss while he burns to death.
Sometimes taking the low road feels oh so good. And it's not like I'm refusing to heal the player, I'm refusing to heal the class, it's just business. If they switch to something that isn't dragging down the team, I will gladly heal them.
If a player is bad at soldier/demo/whatever, I still heal them, because at least they are trying to help, they aren't just being an idiot that goes "OH LOOK WE HAVE 4 SNIPERS WELL TOO BAD I WANT TO SNIPE" or "OMG WE HAVE 4 SPIES BUT IT DOESN'T MATTER BECAUSE I'M A SUPER AWESOME NINJA LIKE NARUTO WATCH ME AND MY NINJA SKILLS"
I heal EVERYBODY unless we have too many of one class not contributing, then I use negative reinforcement to straighten out the teams. After I let a few snipers die, we ended up with a VERY nice class balance.
