these programs hurt more than they help as most of the performance increases are very minimal or nonexistent (<1%) and they use up read/write cycles, resources etc. seeing as registry errors are usually only a few bytes themselves, it'd barely even speed up your computer unless you had millions of registry errors (that'd only affect your ram anyways)
