The defects involved laptops equipped with mobile Nvidia GPUs- specifically the 8600M and 8400M chips. There's suggestion that the earlier GeForce Go 7000 and 6000s are bad too; and questions of stability in their motherboards with the 790i chipsets.
The class-action lawsuit in progress was filed by one of Nvidia's stockholders. I don't know if a consumer class-action is in the works.
I game on a laptop too Simo, (an Asus G1S I bought a year ago) and it's got an 8600m GT- one of the affected chips. But I can still game- but the BSODs happen more often from desktop than a game engine.
