1) The aforementioned power supply

2) The ballast which powers the light source. (anywhere from $250+)

3) The light source itself

4) The voltage inverter

I read that these were the most common of problems. I tried to shine a flashlight in the monitor to see if it was the black light, but it's not.

I assume the power board is the culprit here but can't be 100% sure on any of that.

Mainly I wanted to know because I look at computers like cars. Pay some mechanic for parts and labor or just do it yourself. I'd rather just do the repairs myself.

If nothing else I could probably just break it down and sell the parts on eBay or just sell it as a whole explaining the problem and someone like the guy DF posted about might pick it up.
