People, especially TF2 traders, have a hard time comprehending sarcasm in text. Just be straightforward with the people who you trade and you will probably run into much less trouble.

I believe when I said 'to cut things short' its straightforward already. Sarcasm when I said good luck? Thats an assumption since many people cant really differentiate just like you said.

To be fair, that guy was a kind of an idiot, and you could have been a little nicer to him in your conversation.
