I searched before posting this and it seems it has been brought up before. Rather than reviving that old thread (last post was August 2011 almost a year ago) I thought I'd give this another shot. Last time the thread was derailed to complaints about the rotation on other servers and the arena server wasn't addressed past the first few posts.
I enjoy the SourceOP arena server and the rotation is almost perfect where I can bare to go through a map I don't like. The hardest choice is always having to choose between arena_granary or arena_nucleus which is a win/win in my book.
arena_watchtower seems to empty the server or at least reduce the amount of players on the server at a given time. The map is much different than the other arena maps given that it is wide open. My first suggestion is to remove it completely but I understand it has been this way for awhile so as a secondary suggestion could we reduce it from 30 minutes to 10-15 minutes? People do enjoy playing it but given the lack of cover you end up with many very quick rounds or longer rounds with the two remaining players trying to find each other to finish the round. This is what I think kills the server in 30 minutes time.
Hopefully something could be done or looked into with this problem. SourceOP has one of the last remaining quality arena servers so the options are a little thin for other server choices.
