I figure once df starts advertising it, they'll be quite a few more players wanting to participate and we'll probably have 2-4 twelve-person teams from each server available on tournament day.
So maybe depending on how many people show up on tourney day we can decide on the day of. Like if 16 or 20 arrive(from each server), then we have a 16v16 match (with some alternates) just like the servers are now. If 24+ show up, we have two 12-person teams. If 32+ show up we have two 16-person teams and so on. I can foresee a problem of team selection the day of the tournament due to friends wanting to play with other friends (understandable) but we'll figure it out.
And I think 1time should totally organize 6 or 8 person tournament type of play and see if people are interested in that.
