The video contained a download to a fake hat, key, unusual, or earbuds generator. I did not intent to use it for myself, but more so to report it to Valve if it was legitimate. In my idiocy, I downloaded the file

So basically, you are saying you didn't intend to use it for personal gain, yet you defend yourself by saying exactly that, not to mention that if such a tool existed (which is virtually impossible), Valve would have shut it down already.
