The questions posed by the movie "Where do we come from? Who made us? How did we get here? Is there a God?" was never even answered. In fact all it did was give us more questions. So what is the point of the movie if none of the questions were answered?

Ridley Scott confirmed in an interview that the opening scene was supposed to be an engineer killing himself and his DNA seeding the earth to start life.

Easily the most infuriating plot hole that I can think of was the fact that the chick had the alien removed from her body, and DIDN'T TELL ANYONE THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE REST OF THE MOVIE. Any chance I was trying to give the movie at that point flew out the window.

Visually the special effects were impressive, yes, but the story itself ruins the experience.
