Packet Loss in gaming...

I could be wrong here because I haven't had a surfboard in ages, but don't they have an internal diagnostic page on them? I'd attempt the ping there.

Also try ping -n 100 -l 1024 (or 1400 which I think is the default size for Steam) google.com
-l is the switch that allows you to increase/decrease the packet size.

Does this happen immediately, or after a a bit of time playing? Or a time of day?

I know Cox in phoenix is a rats nest of old cable provider lines and satellite line of sight issues in some neighborhoods, but don't know about Tuscon.
