I had the most unusuals in the game and never sharked a single hat. I bought and sold several hundred. Traded half as many more.
I had a few scammed hats end up in my inventory, that I found out about after the fact. I was still a naive buyer but made right by those persons scammed simply because I had the resources to do so.
When I was hijacked, I made every effort and succeeded in getting the hats back for the persons who thought they were selling them to me for cash. Even though Valve had already given them letters saying they were shit out of luck.
Do not presume to know anything. I know several persons with many unusuals who didnt shark or scam a single one.
Not everyone is greedy. Not everyone is a thief. However, as soon as the last of my unusuals are sold, I'm done because of the thieves.
