Well rest assured, cows have been overworked for quite a few years now. As such, I've been drinking pus/blood filled milk for quite a few years now. And I'm still ticking.
I could further add(working in a brewery) that *glass* shards in bottles of beer are more common then people think. But the number of people showing up at hospitals with ruptured stomachs from said glass shards are, virtually non-existent. Much of what we eat and drink has some sort of, 'undesirable' elements. But over the course of life, we won't even notice most of it.
