They go into afghanistan to rid the country from 'terrorists' when they dont realize 90% of the population in afghanistan HATES their army.
Look at all the shooting and murders that happen inside America, they cant even get terrorists out of their own country. They are the most currupt country in the world to.
Now, would Canada wanna be a wanna be?
While this thread has quckly moved away from the US vs. Canada discussion, I felt I should link this article:
http://www.thecanadianencyclopedia.com/i...RTA0001258
Intro:
"Economic relations between Canada and the US are of paramount importance to Canada. The US is Canada's most important trading partner (Canada exports 30% of its gross domestic product and almost 70% of Canadian exports are to the US) and the US has provided Canada with much of its investment capital and TECHNOLOGY through FOREIGN INVESTMENT, resulting in a high level of US ownership and control of the Canadian ECONOMY."
Basically, without the US, the Canadian economy collapses, then unemployment rates skyrocket. So, while the US is (without a doubt) a complete hot mess, CAN is reliant on the US for survival.
The US is on a decline which is similar to the collapse of the Roman Empire. Reading the below article, you can quickly draw parallels:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Decline_of_...al_malaise
The portion I highlight below speaks specifically to the empire 'collapsing under its own weight'. And 'immoderate greatness' dulling and placating the public.
Why have one glass of wine, when you can have three...
"Decay owing to general malaise
Edward Gibbon
Gibbon held that Christianity contributed to this shift by making the populace less interested in the worldly here-and-now because it was willing to wait for the rewards of heaven. "The decline of Rome was the natural and inevitable effect of immoderate greatness. Prosperity ripened the principle of decay; the causes of destruction multiplied with the extent of conquest; and as soon as time or accident had removed the artificial supports, the stupendous fabric yielded to the pressure of its own weight," he wrote. "In discussing Barbarism and Christianity I have actually been discussing the Fall of Rome."
So, yes, the US is falling apart slowly, but will not go without a struggle and will take much of the western world's economies with it when it does collapse (this is assuming that the US doesnt become more predatory in an attempt to stay alive forcing gobal war).
Lets discuss... (mostly the second part - US decline and the parallels to the fall of the Roman Empire)
