Plus, microtransactions in any video game are a slippery slope. This is valve testing the waters on how much money they can make from people's idiocy. If they get enough, who knows how this will affect future products.

Also saying that an argument is bad without providing any counterexample is automatically worse.

You don't need to provide a counter example to a slippery slope because a slippery slope argument is a bad one in the first place.
And you don't even have an argument.

Ignore the slippery slope for a second and consider this. Valve is adding microtransactions to a game. The very process of putting microtransactions into a game is A BAD IDEA. It doesn't do any good to a game as far as I am concerned, and it can really only harm the game's player base.

Let me say it again. SPENDING REAL MONEY ON IN-GAME ITEMS IS DUMB.

And before you say that I don't have to buy them, read my other posts first.

The random drop system was a terrible idea... 1.5 years ago. For whatever reason, valve kept going with it. Now hats give stat boosts and weapons that affect game play can be bought.

TF2 is not getting better.

The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth becomes the greatest enemy of the State.
