For the ones who liked Portal 2 (which is everyone) and do not know already (which is nobody), the OST (
Original
Sound
track) of Portal 2 has been released and can be
downloaded for free on the official website.
While the
outro song Want You Gone from the game itself is not present in this very first volume, one gets to listen to some quite extraordinary pieces by composer Mike Morasky aliased as "Aperture Science Psychoacoustics Laboratory".
From what my amateur ear can tell, this sounds a lot like some sort of mainstream Glitch music to me.
I almost feel bad saying that I find the first OST boring, as I see that the artist put a lot of effort into the songs. The few actual songs are quite neat, though repetitive. The slower and hence less exciting ones should not be this long - maybe then it would at least not stretch out infinitely like this.
My personal favourites are:
- The Friendly Faith Plate (Track #12)

- Science Is Fun (Track #01)

- I Saw A Deer Today (Track #15)
In case you enjoyed exactly these tracks as well, you may also like some of the following stuff:

Saw and dl'd it, was disappointing to not have the turret opera. But they have implied more will come. Wishful thinking.

Turret Wife Serenade more than makes up for the lack of the opera.

ehh, I got the orangebox soundtrack and still would prefer it over this; not that I'm complaining as it's free. Maybe my hopes were dashed as I was expecting it and was let down. But as more may come, my hopes are up a little bit again.
