^ This. Is Valve trying to discourage people from being Battle Medics and instead be Medical Medics with these? I only use those weapons if I know I can beat them... which results in me losing every battle I've been in as a Medic.

fan is a good upgrade. take off ten damage and its gold.

FAN is good if you are an opportunistic moron who can't aim and likes getting annihilated by scouts with the scattergun.

they are clear upgrades over the originals

this is why they fail

so having a clear downgrade is better than having a slight upgrade?

that is stupid.

edit: actually after thinking about it you mainly play pyro, in that case I completely agree with you, I go around with a set of the original weapons just because it screws enemy pyros over. (compression blast the fire off of friends, shotgun them and fireaxe them)
