So as enjoyable as I find Skyrim this has been pissing me off since day 1.
The interface is both awful and clunky with the keyboard and mouse. Most of the time my clicks don't even fucking register ending with me just giving up and switching to the keyboard. On top of this the awful responsiveness comes in conversations too sometimes forcing me to hit the same conversation piece multiple times. AND to rub salt in the wound mouse acceleration is on by default and you must edit the ini file to disable it.

This is a great fucking game but MY FUCKING GOD THE MENUS. Is it so hard for a game that has been in development for 6 fucking years to have a mouse interface that works? HOW DID THIS NOT COME UP IN TESTING?!
This article is a bit biased but it still makes several good points http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2011/11/14/user-interfarce-skyrims-silly-choices/

It's clear they made the game for consoles. The unresponsiveness of the mouse when in battle is also really annoying and top it off with constant crashed during epic battles. 100% agree that menu is god awful same with the favorites tab which takes away from the battles you fight, stopping during one and selecting weapons.

Other then that hands down one of my favorite games. I bet soon skyrim nexus will have some mods to fix some of these and improve details.

This was actually the reason I bought my first first-person console game (which was a bad idea in itself) in Skyrim. It seems like the PC interface is Bethseda's big bug this time around. Which is an extremely silly bug to have for a company thats been making these games for so long.

100% agree

I actually thought the change to a favorites tab was better than the system oblivion used. I always found myself just opening the menu and switching spells/swords/whatever manually so this is really helpful to me.
I have only experienced one gamebreaking issue such as the one where maxing aa would break specific textures for some people. I haven't ctd'd once yet either.
Other than the out of date graphics and this menu fiasco those really are my only gripes.

Looking at the favorite menu items is about the same as skimming through the inventory. ( a little faster )
Hotkeys work best though.

The interface of skyrim - Snarf - Nov 15, 2011

That's exactly why I like it. It's essentially a quick key into a highly organized inventory screen. What would be nice however is if they would have an option to let you sort spells and items. As a mage you use a LOT of favorites.

Fortunately I borrowed a freinds Steam account and tried it for pc and decided , for one of the first times ever, to buy a Xbox version over a PC. I will miss the graphical advantage but you know.

at least the interface is the first thing to get overhauled in the modding scene. Other than simple fucking photoshop jobs to the bump-mapping that any retard could do.

They've already started doing the obvious shit.

Yeah, that way you get the same shit without ever getting it fixed by the modding community.

I got it for PC now to, waiting for it to be fixed. I havent given up on PC. Mostly because once it's fixed for PC I'll either trade or resell the copy for XBox
