I can't remember the last time I was able to use my reserved slot and get into valve maps 1 without it being full with 16 other already reserved spots.... Can we do some sort of monthly membership program or something where not every single person has a reserved slot?

I would probably support once every two or three months, monthly makes it seem like an obligated subscription.

Fix valve maps 2, increase #1 to 24 slots or 16 normal and 8-10 tiered slots (assuming donation totals are kept in the same db as the slots, top 8-10 donators always have a slot) and make one of the lesser used servers (one of the 2Forts for example) a pure CTF or PL server.
This makes #2 a viable solution to play on when #1 is full instead of the mess of lag and bad rotation it is now, makes #1 have an option for those who support SourceOP the most and gives the new players and unwashed masses a place to play PL maps so we have a chance to skip them on #1.

Personally I'd love to see a quarterly expiration on the slots, but I'm not sure if there aren't any legal concerns when you take away reserve slots from people that weren't supposed to expire.
The servers can't survive monetarily with the way its set up now. Anyone that wants a reserve slot can just donate $5 and not give a shit after that, and that's part of the problem. I'm sure there's a surplus of people who have donated 5 dollars two years ago for their slot and nothing after that eating up the same slots as people who regularly donate and care about the server further than their 5 dollar minimum.
Just watching the donation meter on the front page, it's pretty obvious that the server barely breaks even; or actually costs hundreds of dollars a month to maintain.
I know DF said nothing would change when he handed the servers over to Neph, but if there's any time to get this issue solved, it would be now, while in the early stages of the new ownership.

I have a reserve slot, and while it is nice that the one donation was supposed to last forever, I don't think it should stay that way. I only donated the one time, but I'm in favor of a quarterly donation (or maybe monthly if needed). I'd like to send in another donation soon, but I don't really want to until I know how things will be shaking out with all of this.
I know there are people that would be unhappy at losing their reserve slot when it was supposed to last forever. If we do have to reset all the reserve slots, maybe make it so the old reserve people won't get kicked for the new reserve slots. Or let them keep the reserve slot, but the old group only gets 12 or so reserve slots, and the new group can join until 24 slots are taken (or some other numbers). Not sure if that is doable though

Some complicated system to benifet people who donated months ago is unnecessary imo. Reserved slots only cost $5 if you seriously need that money that bad I think you have other problems.
