My idea is a realtime TV via TVtuner, or webcam.
U was thinking about this alot and it would be really cool to take your webcam or TVtuner and use it in the game to let everybody else watch TV on your server.
You could set up a TVset from the hl2 game or computer monitor on a stand or something, make it larger so people could see it, and have audio through the line-in port and maybee even change the channel inside the game...
the problem ive thought of would be the amount of power this would require from both the mod and the internet connection, but if you could run HL2 without serious lag than you could run an incoming video stream. (much like the one from yahoo.)
Post critisizm, just dont flame my favorite idea yet...

errr... this is also called HLTV, except the HLTV people host a server in which you can join it to spectate whats going on in the server

not HLTV, friggin A, HLTV isnt a TRUE outgoing video its a hosted video on a different server, you cant pump tv-tuner stuff into it from your PC...

or you could create a demo of the video... but thats another story if you want it to go live for viewers...

Snowslasher, he means Watching Accual television on the server, you misinterpreted him as saying watching the game on tv. Unless of course, I've misinterptreted it.

a [yahoo] based webcam system that could be spliced into a custom proggie and transmit over the server (make it look like a texture to the game at first)... you might have to make a map that could support it... this could be a big shiny pain in the ass........
