[Linux] airboat maps crashing - DaftMink - May 04, 2011

When Valve updated HL2Big GrinM to the orangebox engine they also updated the vphysics.so file which inadvertently caused any source linux server to crash when maps with vehicles load.

We use to get around this by reverting to an old version of the vphysics.so file but after the most recent update Valve broke this workaround.

Valve's been informed multiple times about this bug, but like must of their bugs they're left unfixed.

I don't know how busy Drunken_f00l is right now, but I'd really love someone to look into this.

If this helps here's the crash error received when changing to a map with built in vehicle spawns.

Code:
Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault.

Ya, I don't think I can fix this. You'll have to wait for Valve.

e.g never

ever since they removed the hl2jeep from hl2dm, custom "fun" maps pretty much died
