Ban Lift Request - YourPalDispenser - Apr 14, 2010

about a year ago I was playing on a sourceOP server and I started playing a music clip. DF gave me a warning, telling me to stop micspamming or I would be banned. I stopped. Several people on the server said I should be banned anyway, and I was. I join a new server and promptly forget about it.

fast forward to a year later. I attempt to join a friend's game only to discover that I am still banned from ALL sourceOP servers. this seems a bit excessive for a first offense. I was new to hldj at the time and have since learned to keep it limited to servers that allow it. I'd like to be able to play with my friends without forcing them to find a new server.

details of my ban: http://www.sourceop.com/modules.php?name=SOPBans&o=id_details&id=757

DF usually unbans people. You all must have really pissed him off with the "I was a tard last year, but now I am a changed person" stories.

Ban Lift Request - YourPalDispenser - Apr 25, 2010

yeah maybe, except I wasn't a "tard". DF gave me a warning, which I complied with, no questions asked. if anything I never should've been banned in the first place, because really what's the point in giving someone a warning if you're just going to ban them anyway?

I can't help but notice there was an immediate response to another "I was a tard but changed" thread in which the OP also mentioned how he'd like to donate to the servers...

Ban Lift Request - Norrec - Apr 25, 2010

by immediate response, do you mean DF turning him down a week after he posted?

Sound's like bribery.

exactly snarf. and the second post of the thread read "promise you won't do it again and I'll unban you". funny how that works out.

Mic spam bans are always permanent but easily reversable. The reason being that 99% of the people just join to mic spam and people who do that never bother appealing.
