Client crash exploit - Drunken F00l - Feb 11, 2011
It's apparently possible to crash all players in a server by using an intentionally corrupted player spray. The instant respawn server kept getting hit with this tonight, so I disabled sprays on all servers and reported the problem to Valve. Sprays will remain disabled until the problem is fixed.

Can this also be resolved if a client has sprays disabled (cl_allowdownloads 0;cl_downloadfilter none;cl_playerspraydisable 1 etc) ?
I have it disabled for years, cos of the very gross stuff sometimes with it. Or some that used pictures with a player on the wall to make it look somewhere was a player.

Yea, It happened one morning and all but 4 players were kicked off the server (Connection Closing). Found it a bit odd.

Damnit. Sprays were one of the main reasons I still keep playing TF2.

Yes. This is why everytime it happened, a few people remained in the server.
