Ive been looking at all of the ideas that people have been coming up with for new weapons that could be added, which AFAIK is not likely to happen.
something you could do instead of this is make the crowbar do different things instead or compiles to the damage, like
quad damage/one-hit-kill
ignite
give it massive kickback or recoil (so when you hit a player he flies away)
tranculizer (slows down player)
and you could probably set it up so you can buy it as a powerup with credits...
i dont know if this is any more possible but its an idea

yeah, i figured that you couldnt make the weapon itself have altered effects (other than damage) but it still recognized the weapon and player that did the
damage,
so you could (in theory) trace that damage to the player with X-powerup and dealt by crowbar and deal the effect
