Request to remove probation status - Antosheek - Apr 29, 2016

Hello,
I would like to ask for removal of my probation status.

It's been over a year now and since then I haven't violated rules anyhow. The probation tag could discourage potential traders and thus I would like to have it removed, if possible.

I do not contact an admin (as it would be in "request to unban" case) as this isn't technically unban and I can still write here, and I wouldn't want to post it in an inappropriate way.

With best regards,
Antosheek

This is the correct place to post.

I took a look at the original thread that resulted in your probation status. I would like to ask you if you check users you deal with now and to give a quick rundown of what you check for.

Simply, I ceased to write reps (in most cases via) sourceOP forums to avoid possible "misunderstandings" again, as I still prefer this forum for posting topics for keys buying and selling and wouldn't want to risk possible ban here.

But for those that I still write there (usually bigger number of trades with people that use sourceOP rep):

I now check via the steam link "view users steam profile" that is right under someone's picture, to make sure, that the account I'm going to trade with is really linked to this site, as you could write anything in the text, even a link to someone who isn't you.

For the rest, I still do the same as I did before. = Checking id's via steamrep, the new rep.tf, then if they got any cash trade rep (sourceOP, bp.tf trust, then other sites they provide, in this order). Then I check if they are "legit" - I ask them what they want the traded stuff for (when I sell) and I make backups via screenshots for possible disputes. I check whether their PayPal is verified, if they have enough hours in tf2, enough games, enough stuff in inventory, and steam comments.

I once found a scammer only because someone else posted it in his comments ... that he was using a hacked account. He got everything else perfectly covered, even got a guy to vouche for him via blackmailing.

As long as we dont have any issues like last time, and you can assure me of it, ill be willing to drop the probate status.

I can assure you of it, that's why I started this topic.

Thanks. Don't worry, I won't post any rep on these forums anymore.
