Admins don't have to follow the rules? - Sugga the Frog [EMC] - Feb 08, 2013
2/8/13 @1217 EST Stephen used the word faggot in a derogatory fashion during alltalk between the rounds. I tried to votekick per the rules against: Being an obnoxious jerk & Racism/Sexism. But of course to can't votekick a admin for the same thing others have recently been banned for. Afterwards he gave me permission to tell or post anywhere I wanted to on the subject. As a RL SysAdmin I'm ok with the double standard.... but lets not pretend it doesn't exist.
Talk amongst yourselves.

As a admin you should be an example...not saying fag 4 times in a row just to flaunt that your above the rules like you did @ 1241 on 2/8/13. But you are who you are....and i forgive you for that.

Dude, are you 12 years old or something?
Good grief Stephen, how you are able to put up with that daycare...I have no fucking clue.

Be nice Mike. This is not the flame bucket, you don't have to interject yourself and start something.

I think Mike is the cop killer suspect LAPD has been looking for. He fits the profile.

Lol, he's black, was in the Navy, huge, liberal, and bald. I'm none of those. We may be cops (well, ex-cop for him) but ze only similarity is we're human.

I love you Womb, but I have to say that I agree with Sugga (who is also no angel). My OPINION is that while a double standard like: shooting frag seeking crit rockets as a pyro for laughs among the community members playing, all in good fun and not to troll, is an appropriate double standard that should not be given to everyone who is a part of the community, saying things which are hurtful and against the rules is an inappropriate double standard for two reasons. The first is the most obvious, just because an admin said it, doesn't prevent it from being hurtful to others and secondly, and perhaps just as obvious is that unlike shooting mysterious crit rockets, which only admins CAN do, anyone who gets on the server with a keyboard/mic can write/speak those hurtful words. Furthermore, if its an environment where hurtful words are spoken, does it matter who said it? I think it still makes the environment hurtful and unwelcoming whether it is just one or all of us. But if it is just one, the worst person to do it is an admin. If, for example it was me who is hurt by certain words a community member had said and were also prohibited from saying by the rules, how confident would I be that something would be done to make it a better place for me, if the person I have to go to about it, also does it?
