The "rules" of this server are very.. different. I would love some clarification as to whats okay and whats not. From what I can tell...

Nude/Hentai Sprays: Acceptable.

Mic Spammers: Okey Dokey.

Players purposely trying to grief their team: Sure.

Players with such a high ping they have godmode enabled: Why not.

Votekick Spammers: Love em!

Extreme Racism and Degrading comments: Gotta have this.

HLSS Spamming: Fine.

Victory music (Via HLSS): Bannable offense.

As you can see, from my experience the rules are a bit ambiguous. I am quite confused. Are the above really accepted? Are they just not enforced? If they are accepted, I believe we should accept victory music. If these are all offenses, I believe not only that the rules should have some minor changes, but they should be consistently enforced.

If this belongs in the other section, my apologies.

Surely you haven't heard the people who hold down the mic button and literally scream into the mic then. That is why I separate the two.

You yourself should know what is right and what is wrong on a server. It's hard to consistently enforce the rules on a server of this magnitude with such a small community. If someone gets away with something because no one is there to handle it doesn't mean that it's automatically endorsed.

Everyone gets caught eventually. Record demo's, take screenshots, get steamid's and add DF to your friendslist. Some of the time he is around to handle things right away, if not, learn who the other admins are and add them to your list.

Porn sprays: no
Mic Spammers: no (more people get banned for this than anything)
Griefing: no
High Ping: IIRC DF just implemented (or is working on) a high ping kicker
Votekick Spammers: no, hard to catch unless an admin is present
Racism: Technically freedom of speech but still, no
HLSS/Music: no

Play to have a good time, don't sweat the small stuff. My best advice is to add the admins to your friends list and let them know about disruptive players.

Like I said before, when drunken is away, some servers (#1 and instafort) are absolutely under no surveillance and this makes me rage

Thank you for the serious and helpful reply.

I personally do not do any of the above and its not so much when its one of them going on but picture this:

I'm on blue. Team shuffle has been "rigged" (>.>) I'm the top scorer on my team, 4 other decent players with me. Below them are the terribads and the griefers. Red team has Restless Medical Orci Lady Kungfu and Zephyr. My team isn't trying. They are spamming crap on the mic. I just missed a lagging medic with a crawket. I just got face stabbed by a spy with 400 ping. I get a vote kick started on me for not joining "Melee only!" I sit the next round out. Then to top it all off when I get to play there's meatspin in spawn.

When it stacks up like that it is just hard to stand.

I understand that it might be hard to enforce constantly, but it seems like people get away with things more often than not.

This is what I'm concerned about. A lot of the regulars on the SourceOP Arena server don't mind when victory music is played after a match where we came back from being down 3 people to 8 and winning. Why does playing "We are the Champions" constitute a Permaban (I actually asked about this, and got it reduced to a 1-day ban). I get banned for doing this yesterday, yet people that are actually yelling into their mics or playing songs through WHOLE matches never get banned, it sort of makes me mad. A lot of people feel the same way, but apparently no music is allowed whatsoever, and I just happened to get banned without a warning.

I take it you havnt played insta2fort that often, mic spammers and d bags are abundant and kicking them usually doesnt work (hard to get ppl to do it when theyr not on your team) or ppl just standing in spawn, shit is annoying.
