since scout update?
that new knife is just plain uneffective. The range is ridiculously short.
I'm now relying on the revolver more than ever and that means I could just go another class and do better

The range is definitely shorter and I still stab too early every once in a while out of habit, but I'm getting used to it. I've been getting some nice little kill streaks lately because I can backstab groups of people a lot faster.

that is exactly it
I keep attempting sidestabs stairstaps leapstabs and quickstabs and they all fail with the "new" range.

hey valve plz noobify all classes. Oh wait scout update corrupted the only two skill-based classes already.

They increased the sidestab range in a recent update which made me happy. The decreased range is how it always should've been which takes some getting used to but is still fine with me.

Solo'ing heavies is reversed to skilled scouts using default load-out.
You are not a skilled scout.
