I've been getting increased reports of lag on the original valve maps server. To help take care of this, I've increased the max rate (sv_maxrate -- limits your rate value) and removed SourceTV. I've seen lots of other server administrators say SourceTV increases lag and/or cpu usage.
Hopefully I can get a new solution to allow people to spectate but prevent them from idling in spectator team to maintain their spot on the server.
To accomidate the extra bandwidth that will get used from increasing the max rate, I've upgraded the bandwidth on the box from 2.5TB to 3.5TB. This costs an extra $175 per month (ouch). So, if you're feeling generous...
I might end up cancelling the extra bandwidth and moving one of the servers (like 24/7 2fort no mods) to the other box. The only problem is that means the server's IP changes and everyone would have to update their favorites. Also, the stability might be affected.

Usually IP's are cheap. Have them alias the IP to your other server and you consolidate without losing anyone via favs (neither Windows or *nix boxes care what/how many addresses are aliased to a single nic).
It's not like their prices are low, so the least they can do is a little bit of work for you (it should only takes a few seconds).

Can't. The boxes are in two different data centers. Even if they were in the same datacenter additional IPs are randomly assigned and wouldn't necessarily be the old ones.

If the two centers are owned by the same provider the netblocks geographic distribution would be entirely up to them. So you're right, in that case there's no way in hell they'd move them for you (for management reasons alone; it would be messy and they'd probably endup reallocating it accidentally). ;-)
