I just assume anybody from there who doesn't like guns has just been brainwashed by libdem propaganda.
Because the people you know are definately an accurate cross section of the public. I live in essex, which essentially, is full of cunts. I do not want these people to be able to carry guns. The law here isn't perfect, sure, homeowners need more power to protect their land and such, but I sure don't think that justifies every tom, dick and harry carrying a gun

Or what sushimitzu said

There are restrictions on who can carry what where and how in the US as well.

I'm not going to say that ALL the firearm crimes committed were by people who obtained the guns through some illegal means but it's definitely MOST of them.

Very rarely do you see someone open carrying a pistol around town. Concealed carry requires a special permit, fingerprinting, and background checks at the very least. So it's likely that the "cunts" you see around you (assuming they're violent criminals) wouldn't be able to get their hands on them. If you're saying that you think they're too stupid to carry a gun, I encourage you to get ahold of a gun yourself and shoot yourself in the face because you have no business judging someone else's ability to grasp the responsibility of carrying a gun.

It's been said over and over again, and ignored over and over again, but when you outlaw guns only outlaws have guns. I'd much rather live in a country where I know I can defend myself with a firearm from a guy with a firearm than live in fear of someone breaking into my house with a firearm and not being able to do a single thing while they rape my butthole and steal my shit since I can't even legally carry a fucking pocket knife.

That makes it easy for you. Everyone who is of a different opinion clearly must be brainwashed.

Its fact, not opinion.

Nick Clegg, David Camerons bitch, the tea boy.

Lib dems have near as makes no difference zero influence in england, they are literally space fillers, the coalition only existing so the conservatives can be in power.

Even when they campaigned, I didn't list to a fucking word they said.

Herr raider: Obviously I understand gun laws vary, and that the majority of gun crime uses illeagally obtained guns, but you cannot deny the legalisation surely leads to more guns being illeagally obtained, and therefore more gun crime, and I doubt the solution is to own more guns.

I live very near areas of high crime, and I really do think that for many of the people guns would be the catalyst needed to make then turn to crime, in the 8 or so years I've lived here, I have never heard of a single incident of gun crime here, a colleague was stabbed fairly recently, I doubt he would have walked away so easily if he was shot.

Home security is a fair point, but I think defence can be acheived with other means, my father for example, keeps a machete

Correct, no felons and you do need a CCW permit to carry it in bars.

decreasing gun crime is a noble goal but i disagree that an outright ban is the best way to achieve that

edit: fuck you forum mods. all of you.
