Big electronic store/warehouse but you can get parts there as well. I usually get the parts online. But they were nice if you had a power adapter burn out or needed a new fan or whatnot and didn't want to wait for it to come in the mail.
All I have in my town is a Wal-Mart (lol) and a Best Buy in the neighboring town.

I used to make a monthly pilgrimage to the one in Palo Alto when I lived in the Bay Area. I don't know how that chain survives now after the rise of teh big box retailers and net monsters like Amazon and NewEgg.

Just went to Fry's earlier this week. Ended up getting quite a few dvds, some CAT 6 cables, compressed air, and a new router. Fry's to me is like the adult Toys'R'Us.

I could never stand brick and mortar stores.
I could walk around best buy for hours raging at how I saw the exact same 3-generation old video cards on newegg for 100$'s cheaper.
At least they do door busters, at which point their prices almost match online stores >.<

Calc's keyboard of choice: the IBM Model M.
Big, clicky, mechanical, rock solid and durable as hell, and so heavy you can use em' as lethal weapons should somebody sneak up behind ya. 15 years old and they still work- and they're great gaming keyboards. (albeit a little loud)
I scored a half dozen Ms from a university surplus auction a few years back. Had I known they were so coveted, I'd grabbed a lot more.
