The problem isn't your philosophy, I mean all of this stuff would work great IF we were the only 2fort server on earth. that 90% of the people you would ban for being useless is suddenly gone and you have a 10v10 match. People try and join but quickly find they can't play the class they want and bail, or they can't join a team with their friend so they leave.
With all of these people gone the server empties more and more and people donate less and less until SourceOP has no 2fort servers because it isn't cost efficient to run them.
I have been an administrator on enough servers to tell you that these rules you are trying to force are cancer and the people who you bitch about are the people keeping the servers up and running in the first place.
You are one of the few who have no instant spawn stupidity, who dont have party hats, lowered gravity or any of the rest of that nonsense. At least the only one that I get a somewhat decent ping to.
Another thing I forgot to mention was the time of each round on the server. That also leads to some of the problems. When you have 3 hours between rounds, people will be idiots and turtle for no reason than to turtle because there is 2 hours to go until the need to really start pushing. Lowering the time limit to 60 minutes per round from the 180 its currently at would change a lot I think.

Trust me, I have tried everything in the book but the only thing anyone seems to remotely respond to is being called exactly what they are acting like, dipshits, morons, dumbasses and retards. If the person only responds to being called names, you use what you can to get your team to do what needs to be done. Again, why are you playing a team based game with an objective if you are not going to help your team protect your objective while getting the enemies?
Votekicking someone not helping should never be the first resort just like my telling the enemy our base weaknesses is not the first thing I do, I attempt to get things taken care of first before I go into those tougher measures.

I don't play on the 24/7 2fort server...I wouldn't touch it with a 10ft pole..However...
I understand where you're coming from EE. It can be very frustrating sometimes to watch players muck about, have no idea what they're doing, or chose classes that are far from optimal for the current situation. While all this can be a pain, it is no reason to get frustrated, insult, or even kick people for such actions.
People come on to TF2 and the Sourceop servers for many reasons. Some to play with friends, some to play a Team game, and some to even relax.
Players will often just goof around just so they can have a break from whatever else is going on around them. I do it all the time. Playing pistol only spy, bat only scout, offensive engie, etc... Its relaxing to just be able to goof off. Having more then necessary of one class is fun too. You ever played 9 pistol spies on 2fort? Its a riot. Or 30 engies on 2fort? very fun.
my point is, while you may want to play a TEAM game where everyone tries to play together using the most effective strategy and optimal class distribution, others don't. let them goof off and relax, they are allowed to do whatever they feel like. As the cliche statement goes "Its A Game". Games are for enjoyment, so let other enjoy themselves and try and find a way to enjoy it yourself, even if it's not the exact way you want to play at a specific time.

Can you show me where I said I was the bestest 2fort player? I think you will find that I have never stated that. Instead, I know how the map is played and I know what works and what doesnt work. Its a fucking simple map, its not that complicated and I dont see why people have such a hard time with it. Its not rocket science, hell, its not kindergarten arts and crafts, why do you keep eating the paste?
My most played class is far from sniper, I play everything but spy. I play sniper and engineer quite a bit because those are two classes where you have players playing and then all of a sudden no one filling those roles so I fill them. See, I am a team player cupcake, I will fill the roles needed for the team.

I dont find 30 engineers fun. I play in between the short periods of time that I can get betwen working my ass off 16 hours a day. I get 30 minutes, here, 45 there, a hour every now and then and sometimes, no free time. I find playing the game and going for the objective fun, after all, that is the point of the game right? Again, why buy and play a team based game if you are not going to help the team? Why play Madden Football with other players on your team if you are only going to run the ball with the quarterback and ruin the game for everyone else?
People need to be insulted sometimes. The problem with the US and its citizens is they have become fucking pussies. They cry the second someone upsets them, they need to man up and grow the thick skin again. Political correctness has turned the US into a bunch of Sissy La la's.

Well, if asking nice isnt getting your attention than something else is tried. Its like a dog, you spray it with a bottle, if that doesnt change what it is doing wrong, you take a rolled up paper to its head, if that doesnt work, than a boot to the ribs.

EE, the bottom line is that you need to respect that there are players of all different skill levels and you cannot punish a player for being "bad" at the game. If you want top quality players, join a league and play some competitive matches.
