Surprise surprise, goldrush - sk8 - Jul 19, 2010

maybe you guys should update the rules before asking people to join .

Quote:Rule 1. Participation in the league requires a roster of no fewer than
seventeen and no more than thirty team members. A clan may have only
one official clan team which must include no fewer than fifteen clan
members on the roster and no fewer than ten in any league game. Match
squadrons must be drawn from the team roster except as outlined in
rule 2. No player may appear on more than one team roster.

Rule 2. A player may not play in a match unless he or she is listed on
the team roster or the match captain of the opposing team allows it.
Substitutions may be made between rounds only in the event of
technical difficulties for a player or the server.

Rule 3. Match captains must be declared in advance of the match and
captains must present an intended roster for the match at least 24
hours in advance. While the team is not obliged to produce exactly
those fifteen players at the time of the match, the captain is
expected to do his or her best to make this happen.

Rule 4. Each team must have a team administrator for the season and
match captains for matches. No player may serve as match captain for
more than one match per season.

Rule 5. Each match will include two rounds and, if necessary, a
tie-breaker round. Each team will start as blu once and red once.
Match captains will melee to the death for first turn on blu in round
one. The losing captain’s team will take first turn on blu in the
second round.

Rule 6. The team that went blu first goes blu first in the tie-breaker
round. The tie-breaker round will be played to the second point on the
first map only. If both teams cap this point, the winner of the round
and the match is the team to cap the point faster. Points won in
tie-breakers do not count toward total season points for a team.

Rule 7. The winner of the match is the team with more total points
across two rounds. If both teams capture the same last point in a
round, only the team that captured that point faster will be awarded
the point

You can edit the quotes, also more fallacies you just lost a brain cell(see I can be cool too). You also play nothing but small time leagues with unprofessional admins who don't know what they're doing.
And this is the reason this is so ridiculous copy paste they didn't need to sign up for your forums just to post a roster when you can do it via a pm all in the OP.(though you apparently don't know how to use the edit button so I wouldn't put it past you.)
You are hosting a small time league they shouldn't have to post a full roster, join your stupid community and talk to them just so you can avoid the horror that is copy paste.
If this were a big time league I would expect:
1. signup on the website
2. Post a full roster including steamids
3. Setup a match date.
All of which could have been done through pm anyways so you are just being lazy.

I'm sorry, but I'm still unconvinced that taking the names and stipulating times is too much of a task for you to handle.

I suppose the impression given by trends' initial post was something far more casual than what you are expecting.

I was talking about CEVO.

I am not sure how signing up a forum and posting a roster equates with BGL being a hardcore competitive league?

You both have demonstrated that you personally don't care about participating in the league. The posting of the conversation on these forums between sk and trends is a perfect example of that.

SK tried to give trends the names. Apparently, that was not satisfactory for some reason you have yet to properly elaborate upon.

If it really is so simple as just posting a roster on your forums, why should that have been a problem? If this is casual, why should that have been a problem?

I still don't understand. Please, explain to me, I'm pretty stupid.

Still question whether or not you read the posts. You are hosting a CASUAL tournament not a big cevo event with a prize that has a login based anti cheat system.
Also a little note here when cevo had you setup the matches it was done via pm's not forum posts so stop talking out of your ass.
Cevo needs its system to remain professional(though they are dead as hell).
Your system doesn't need everyone to signup on the forums because you can't copy paste.
Also edit the fucking quotes when you do it so you don't make the thread huge.(though you probably won't see this since i'm guessing you don't read the posts. That or you are extremely thick. In both cases I put it in a pretty bold font so you would see it.)

Trends has to deal with four other teams. Has to handle any issues between them and has to make sure someone communicates with me the times of the match and the setup needed. He also has to deal with any unexpected problems.

He also has a job and is not getting paid to do any of this.

He was willing to try and reason with sk. If such a requirement as signing up on a forum is too much and you really don't care that much about partcipating then communicate that up front and MOVE ON.

That is exactly what he did then you and warchimp came here insulting him. Honestly at this point i'm confused, are we having an argument or are you just rolling your face on the keyboard and hitting the post button.(hence the reason you don't remember absolutely anything you post).

Your post count is 1248. Congrats!

Go ahead and start your own league. You are not personally invested in this league in any way. As I said before, there must be some girl in high school that got away. Do you have her number? Give her a call and let the league issues be handled by the participants.
