Not everyone has hundreds of dollars to spend on an operating system. So yes, the Windows operating systems are overpriced, I feel your pain omega. People who say tough luck I get it for $10 are bragging fools who clearly live in a privileged lifestyle, so like college-discount, or mommy & daddy buy it for them.
Pay the full price, then come back with snide remarks for regular people who pay out the nose for these products.

I can get alot of it free too, i can get stuff like SQL server, the two newest versions of visual studio and windows server 2000,2003 or 2008 for free aswell. Some more things i cant remember too. Im not even a student anymore, but they didnt think to take access away from my account on the website.
I dont think we get windows 7 though, havnt been there to check recently. I pre-ordered that though when it was about 80% off, first come-first serve almost a year before the release. Got one of the very last ones before they put doubled the price for the next batch.
