i dont mean to insult you guys, but you do know that a good surface is as important as the mouse you are using for increasing player performance through interface devices, right?

I'm aware of that, but I'm too cheap and lazy to get a better one. Maybe if another free one comes my way...

I have a mousepad that came with my laptop four years ago that's so smoooooth to use. However, my mouse doesn't work with it (jitters all over) so I use a tiny mousepad that came with a keyboard tray I got long ago.

I used to use a 'mouse surface' thingy. Paper thin and textured. Great for sensitivity of movements. However, it does nto stay put like a normal mouse pad....so I use Krazy glue to prevent it from moving. Then my wife 'accidently' rips it off the desk (under the guise of cleaning) and leaves small parts of the 'mouse surface' stuck to the desk. After 3 attempts of using these and the wife and 3 yr old son repeatedly ripping them off the desk...I have a very uneven surface of Krazy glue and parts of mouse pad material...
So, I use a normal foam/fabric mouse pad again...until I stop being lazy and sand down the surface of the desk...or buy a new desk...
mouse surface was similar to this, but circular -

you have to use the tags to link directly to the image.

they actually replaces my one with this one:
link condensed because it looks shitty
probably better because my other one could only be applied to one surface, and then you had to use tape to hold it down. (the surface is actually better than the 50$ razer mouse pad, though.)

I use my laptop sheath with a book of beethoven sonatas stuffed inside it as my mouse pad. it works incredibly well.
