Also, Hellmet. I've had birds all my life, including Cockateils, Parakeets, a Cockatoo (Maluccan), and now the Amazon . They make wonderful pets. That's a good looking bird you have there.

No. We rescued it from a neglectful home.

Anyway, the bird and the cat are now best friends... though at first it was a bit rough.

Pet Care 101: Never take your turtle for a walk after dark without a laser beam attached to his back.
Everyone's pets are so cute! Except that Wieks character. Check with the pet store; maybe you can trade him in for a fish or something.
My parents have had this bird, Max, for like 10 years. He curses like a sailor and it's so freakin funny because he has all these habits that my dad lets him do but my mom hates and when she fusses at him (Max), he calls her profanities and he mocks her. It usually ends with Max saying "stupid bird" several times and my mom stomping away angry. It's quite entertaining.
On the topic of birds though, I grew up in Orlando and the Tampa Bay area and everywhere we lived, almost all the neighbors had birds. Most everyone had these covered porches on the backs of their houses or gazebos and would just let the birds fly around freely. (There was usually a high chance of getting pooped on). Some were loud, depending on the types, but I think a person gets used to them.
