final fantasy 10 was good, but it doesnt really live up to the final fantasy name. the voice acting was below average and the storyline wasnt really up to the final-fanasy name, the main char' was whiney and half-retarded... then again, none of the charicters in there were even standable to me, they all were either whiney, moronic blue things, goths, or poorly voice acted... the only standable charicter from that game would have to be auron, he kicked all kinds of ass... even in Kingdom Hearts 2 he kicked ass...
the gameplay is good though, its worth a try if you can stand Yuna's voice (i couldn't, but hey). i guess the problem from me was that I kept comparing it to all of the other final fantasy games (mainly 4, 7 and Chrono, which wasnt really a final fantasy game but you couldnt really tell if they would have called it final fantasy)

i dont read japanese, or i would play it in japanese with subtitles. but the story was still average, right down to it's attempts of plot twists. its just WAY more noticable when your backing up a mediocre story with mediocre voice acting and average gameplay.

right I agree that its story line was a little shallow...
but japanese voice actors were fucking good... I mean really good...

yeah, american voice acting in general is horrible. there are a few good ones, but most of them dont sound human (ie. richard cox) no matter how good their voice acting is... and some of it is just bad casting on the american licencing's part (like vash in trigun, the voice isnt bad and the voice acting is good, but it doesnt fit the char, IMHO that voice would be great for Kon in Bleach)
