Nooooooooo Bub and Bob lost!

And the OP was sarcastic. 4chan was voting for Bub and Bob. They won, but then gamespot took away 20,000 votes from them because of "fraudulent voting."

You just had to go to the link then you could vote, no account required. Anyone could vote. /b decided to try and get these little dragons to win the whole thing over mario/link/samus etc. They did beat Samus but then gamespot reversed it and said they cheated.

while i hate chaners, and i hate internet polls, its asinine for a company to post a public poll that allows you to vote as many times as you want, then advertise it as such and not expect to get flooded by vote-bots.

It was one vote per IP.

Propel Bub and Bob to the top! - Drunken F00l - Sep 24, 2009

Ya, since it's one vote per IP I don't see how anything 4chan did was wrong.

Apparently, Someone made some macro that put in multiple votes. They used iMcaro on firefox. Gamespot then said people "cheated" in voting for Bub and Bob and took away a ton of votes. Surprisingly, the percentages switched. (Bub and Bob had 53.1% at the end, but then Samus had 53.1%). Kinda fishy to me, but it was all in good fun and they took down Master Chief so that was pretty funny.
